Odontophorus columbianus, (Mountain Partridge)
It is a terrestrial bird that lives mainly in cloud forests. It has a dark reddish-brown crown and nape, brown upperparts, with a complicated combination of black and white spots with brown striations, white throat, black cheeks and subocular area, brown underparts with white spots; very short tail and powerful legs. The female is very similar to the male, but the underparts are more grayish. There is very little information on the biology and conservation of the species. It is endemic to the Venezuelan Coastal Range. It has also been seen in the Río Chiquito del Sur del Táchira. It is classified as Near Threatened on the International Red List because it is only found in a small area, which is reduced by excessive hunting and habitat loss. The population is estimated at less than 10,000 individuals.

Progonotriccus Venezuelanus(Corbatico Avileño)
It is a small bird, 18-19 cm. The back and wings are olive-colored. The crown, nape and sides of the head are black. The sides of the breast are gray, the flanks and undertail coverts are olive brown. The comena is gray, the box is white and the tail is blackish to fuchsia brown. It is usually seen in pairs or small groups. It is sullen and discreet, and looks for food in the leaf litter on the ground or in the tangle.
It is endemic to Venezuela, found in the Cordillera de la Costa, from Carabobo to Miranda. It occupies a limited area, estimated at 16,657.69 km2, so it is susceptible to habitat loss and is considered almost threatened. It inhabits premontane forests, including humid and very humid forests of the mountain ranges, rainforest and cloud forest, between 700-1000 m altitude.

Phyloscarter venezuelanus, (Swine Flycatcher)
It is also known as Venezuelan eared bird. It is a species of passerine bird that belongs to the genus Phyloscarter, integrated to the family Tyrannidae. It has a very limited distribution. It inhabits the middle and low strata of montane forests and their edges, mainly between 1400 to 1800 meters above sea level, existing in the Cordillera de la Costa. It is present in the east of Caracas, the interior of the south of Aragua and the south of Miranda.
