its been years since we grew up together... mister loner needed my help hiding evidence of our guardian's existence because of silly dimension council rules or whatever. I was told I get to kill some anomaly monsters and it was awesome. but I never expected to see what I saw that day... i still remember it to this day despite his attempts to erase it from my mind...
i was fighting the monsters, hatching the suckers with my axes as Masko deletes any existence of us being there. unlucky for mask, a monster punched him so hard in the face, his mask actually flew off and broke into pieces. some magic mask when it breaks like glass. then Mask started to run away, leaving me to clean the mess up and kill the last of the monsters...
when I was done, I went to find the guy and it took forever because he just had to decide on the woods to run in. the stinkin dude must had a really ugly face or something if he needed to hide in the woods for it. I found his footprints leading to a cave as I walked inside to find the man. I found him but then he started to shout at me to get out and not look at him. I had to make sure he was alright since he was punched in the skull. i keep walking in as the light guided me to him. had to use all my tracking and senses to find him because he really desperate in concealing himself from me.
I told him to stop hiding and let me check his face so he didn't get anymore brain damage from the punch before... he eventually showed himself... but when i saw him... i saw what his face was like under the mask... it was greyed out with his eye being a literal void... I heard conceal hacktopians are basically what they look like after overloading, but I didn't think Mask would actually have the face for it...
he just stared at me with his usual dull expression, but it was weird this time... like possibly shame? or pity for himself?... I checked his face and it was fine, then gave him my mask until we got back. he got his mask fixed and returned mine, telling me thanks as he vanished out of existence like a freaking ghost...
I still remember that void of his face... it haunts me every day... as if waiting to consume me and erase me too... if I ever saw it again, I know I'll be dead forever this time...
