the artist of timeless ink. Yang grew up in Japan in an orphanage, an all girl orphanage as she’s taught to be proper and patient for her adoption. At age 7, Yang was finally adopted and lived in luxury in a wealthy family, teaching Yang more etiquette and art. Yang learned all kinds of art mediums and techniques as she was focused more on ink and calligraphy of ancient scrolls and early ink prints of Asia and its dynasties. Yang loved Ink art with all the details and line work needing to portray with using shapes correctly to perceive objects correctly as she continued her learning to the age 13. She attended an all girl school from her adoptive mother’s orders, learning to become a bride and stay at home wife. Yang didn’t want to go and wanted to be independent as an artist, but her adoptive mother forbade it and would slap Yang if she ever dared to disobey. Yang grew to hate the lessons and planned a night to escape, her first attempt she was caught packing and saving money, resulting in her mother locking her up in her room to be homeschooled until Yang learned to obey. Her second attempt she grew tired at trying to plan a prepared route and just broke the window and leaped out into the garden. Yang ran with guards and dogs chasing after her as she made it to the busy streets of the city; crowds of people, bright lights due to the night sky, and the wet concrete as it rained down upon Yang and the people. Yang found a tattoo parlor and hid inside as the guards ran off, losing her trail. Yang sighed as the owner found Yang. Yang was scared at first but the owner acted gentle and calm with her and offered Yang a place to stay for now. The two worked with each other and Yang learned to tattoo quickly. One day, Yang’s ability was discovered as soon as she got a tattoo of a tiger, all detailed and vibrant, Yang’s ability activated somehow and the tiger crawled off Yang and leaped into reality. Yang and the owner, shocked and a little scared, Yang found out she can tame the beast and started planning on her new life. Yang knew she couldn’t stay for long as her mom would sooner or later find her and bring her back. The owner knew this too and thanked Yang for her company and help around the shop, giving Yang a special ink pen for tattoos and one last tattoo for the road. The owner gave Yang falcon wings for her to fly away as Yang drew different kinds of weapons and imageries to protect her when needed. All packed up with ink and some rations, Yang bid the owner goodbye and hopes to visit them again in the future. Yang activated her ability and made the wings come to life, she began to fly and leave the region as fast as possible. Once reaching a meadow area, Yang landed and started her camp quickly, making a fire with twigs and a lighter from one of her tattoos and opening one of her rations of canned meat. As Yang sat by the fire, a hooded figure was walking by and asked to sit with them and cook something too as they were traveling too. Yang agrees with one of her hands ready on one of the weapon tattoos just in case as the hooded figure pulled out a frozen pizza and stuck it on a stick to cook it over the fire. Yang, confused at the sight and action, asked who the figure was. The figure instead asked Yang why she was out and about in a random field alone, why she doesn’t have anyone with her or doesn’t she got a family to stay by with. Yang told the figure how she was just too independent and how her mother wanted a girl who would just stay at home and become an obedient partner, as she didn’t agree with it and wanted to escape from luxury, try to make her art and be independent who didn’t need to listen to anyone. The figure laughed and joked that Yang always had a choice to not listen or act upon her mother’s will, she didn’t need to leave her home and friends behind for it. Yang thought this was insulting as the figure brought another line into the mix. “So miss independent is gonna live in the meadows alone? No friends, no society, no one to see your art and enjoy it as you got tattoos and tuna on a stick? Is this the life of independence you want?” Yang froze at the question, realizing her situation and took a deep breath to answer the figures question. “You may not understand… I can’t go back unless I want to hurt the people I care about as my mother has high powers of wealth and authority. The tattoo shop owner will have their shop taken down if she found out I was staying there… as she will do anything, even hurt me, to make me obey…” as Yang was about to cry, the figure took a bite of their pizza and shared a slice with Yang to cheer her up. Yang took the pizza and munched on it in tears, the figure pulls out a newspaper to set the pizza on. But before the pizza was plated on to the newspaper, Yang saw the front line cover, “wealthy woman caught for abusive behavior and embezzlement of billions of dollars.” it was an article of Yang’s adoptive mother, Yang was shocked and cried more tears while staring at the cover. The pizza is plated with the figure smirking with a voice curious and teasing Yang’s expression. “So what’s the excuse now?” Yang thought for a second, thinking she could go back and work with the shop owner, but new this means she can be independent without someone hunting her down, or to her knowledge. Yang said she will still be independent still, but maybe visit once in a while to thank the shop owner, just need a place to stay. The figure chuckled as they revealed their hood off, it was Lifehacker with a pizza in hand and a grin of welcome and excitement. “Welcome aboard miss independent,” lifehacker said as they stood up and reached a hand out. Lifehacker explained their guardianship and how Yang can visit here sometime while staying in their protection and care. Yang took the hand and agreed to join. Ever since the recruitment, Yang grew her own indie tattoo business as she travels realms for their art and spreading tattoos to those who chose to wear hers. When the destruction of the 70s’ dimension came, Yang helped out and met Sophie. Love at first sight, Yang asked Sophie out on a date and the two were doing well in the beginning, baking together and going out on walks. Yang saw how motherly Sophie was acting towards others and slowly got a little nervous and cautious around Sophie, trying to do her best and not make mistakes around her. Sophie saw this as time went on and suspected Yang got some unresolved issues to figure out, leaving Sophie to break the relationship for the better of both of them and to let Yang figure out these issues first before dating someone who’s now a mother figure to others. Yang was heartbroken, but understood she needed to settle some personal issues first, seeing Lauren 53 every 3 months about her issues and slowly healing from them. Yang now still runs her indie business as a tattoo artist, and is enjoying her new found freedom.
