Ability - Pain resistance

can resist all pains, any pains, no it's not a disorder because it comes with regeneration too, but it takes his energy and only applies to his external injuries for Regeneration to activate. But can still get severely sick and die from it.

Description

the regenerating soldier. he worked in the military to help pay for a lot of stuff for his found family. unfortunately after one mission, he became desensitized, traumatized, and has PTSD from said mission. he is now stays on the sidelines until he is needed for a mission and teaches combat at Home I2 the Newbie training grounds. he plays the grumpy grandpa role for everyone, telling a few stories and teaching them some skills to use. he's been going to therapy and cherishing his found family ever since reuniting with them. since drugs aren't allowed in the guardianship, he smokes cinnamon sticks for a loophole to the rules, of course he's been scolded for still trying to smoke.

he is found/unofficial husbands with Caelan 82. the two were already looking after three kids before the guardianship but separated when Kalin had to go into the military to hopefully provide for the kids. after reuniting, the two hugged the kids and decided to rest for a bit from their terrible pasts, causing the two to start up some feelings. when Kalin had a PTSD episode about being betrayed from a past lover, Caelan held him tight to not attack anyone and confessed his feelings. he promised to never betray Kalin as long as they live. the two talked and started becoming an official couple; attempting dates at Home I7I The tavern restaurant, flirt combat-fighting, and attending therapy for trauma together. even their kids makes them do pretend play dates to strengthen their bond. the two had mellowed out towards each other and drinking at Home I7I until the morning comes.

he was part of a found family before he went to war. the found family consist of Caelan 82, Mono 4, Wender 41, and wenry 47. he disciplines them when they get out of hand but attended nap sessions with the kids. the kids comfort him with Caelan holding him when he gets PTSD episodes. Kalin teaches the kids how to fight with helping Home 1X2, the daycare, with watching over them. when Caelan is off on missions, He looks over the kids and plays with them and tells them a few stories of missions he went on.

he's the head of home I2, the newbie training grounds. he's technically a father figure too but maintains being the head of the home to watch over all the training that happens. he sees everyone's potential and assigns everyone's training to their needs. he makes sure everyone who leaves for resorting knows enough self-defense knowledge for their safety. him and Caelan makes sure everyone in Home I2 are resting and taking care of themselves, kalin makes sure that funds goes to rooming for better sleep and better equipment for training to be done without hassle or injuries.

Backstory

the ultimate soldier that keeps living. Kalin had noticed his ability to regenerate from pain at a young age and he had to take care of the numbers he had, Caelan 82, Mono 4, Wender 41, and Wenry 47. He was 16 when he entered a war to protect and provide for everyone. While in training, he had met a guy he deeply connected with, they guarded each other’s backs on missions and soon fell in love. One day the general found out and warned Kalin to watch his back even more, Kalin found out what that meant soon enough. After the talk, Kalin had been kidnapped by his lover who had been a double agent for the enemy. Kalin was put through torture and other abusive ways as ransom, knowing Kalin could regenerate and the general wanting to keep one of his best soldiers. This went from months on until a full year came with his fake lover saying happy anniversary. Kalin only had a blank expression with dead tired eyes with his energy put to his regenerating instead of anything else. The enemy general finally had enough of the games and decided to test kalin’s healing internally with a fatal poison that can kill in seconds. The lover offered to do it while telling Kalin how much the poison showed his true feelings for him. Before the injection could happen, an explosion came about smoke engulfing the area. A figure with horns and wings sliced the general in half with Caelan fighting the lover. The figure freed Kalin, and he rushed after Caelan and his ex lover. The ex lover pinned Caelan to the floor and was about to give him the injection instead until a shot through the heart by Kalin was made. Ever since that incident he hasn’t gotten close to anyone ever again except for Caelan and the children he had missed while being away.
