Species - Crystal Gemnoid

they may look human now, but later in life will gain a harder and glossier structure becoming sturdy and strong as a diamond. the gemnoids are humanoid entities that contain gems and crystals in their genetic and biological structures; sturdy as the gem they are born as, eyes that detect real gems and crystals with crystal clear vision, obtaining the hues of the born gem, heat resistant depending on the gem, can eat gems and more. depending on the gem can determine abilities they can do; some can grow gems, some can play support and heal, some can use certain magics, and some can use light for illusions and lasers.

Description

the diamond engineer themselves. an engineer who can see real and fake gems, and can identify which gem is which. he's in charge of all dimensional/universal traveling, always experimenting, finding mistakes to fix. he's one of the top engineers in charge of any mechanical work, repairs and mechanical health of the guardianship. they're also in charge of magic syncing and crystal magic for anyone who uses them. 

he's the head of Home X9, The Advancement Level. He does his experiments with helping the realm traveling tech with Elizabeth's realm inventions. he helps everyone in the home with their skills and makes sure that they are advancing their limits and pushing further. 

he's the leader of Super Intense Malicious Protectors (S.I.M.P.). he plays support and defense to keep his squad safe but powerful. he also acts like the wingman for the guys and gives advice for their troubles in love. he provides the tactics, medicine, and equipment for the missions they go on. he's also a simp for D.G., Destruct Gunpowder, and he's been more advocate about it. unlike the other members, Travis actually pursues his crush while D.G. rejects because of how many times D.G. literally self-destructs and eventually they will finally meet permanent death. Travis still flirts and chases D.G. despite that the possible outcome and rather tries to change that and promises to protect D.G. no matter what.

Backstory

The diamond child. Born in a realm of gemnoids that walked their Earth with each to their own societies and roles; everyone being a type of gem with different abilities and colors, some heal other gems while others terraform the land for gem society, select gems help with nursing the geos to hatch the newborns with security and warmth, as those with strong strength type of gems get treated with honor and respect as they are meant to protect gem kind. Diamonds, Topaz, Corundum, Quartz. The toughest and strongest of gems protects the weakest with their abilities as both work in harmony. Diamonds are gems that are the toughest, can grow gems from themselves or from the earth they walk, as they find areas to grow gem formations for sculpture gems to carve into new places to inhabit. One group of traveling gems with a few diamonds traveled into a cave with their dormant geo cluster holding their child in. The plan was to make an underground city to protect the most fragile from outside harm, the Diamonds would create the formations for select sculptures to carve out homes. The group ventured into the caves of crystal diamond formation, and found a spot to begin creating diamonds. Unfortunately, the growth made the cave unstable and a cave-in itself and collapsed on everyone including the diamonds… crushing everyone, but the geo that held the baby in it… as time went on, the geo broke on its own to set baby Travis of 2 years old. Travis wandered in the cave as he survived off crystal diamond minerals for food until he reached 7 years old. Lifehacker stumbled upon him trapped in a cave-in of the cave after sensing a life inside. Lifehacker cuts through the crystal cave and takes them in as the last survivor of the cave collapse. Lifehacker took Travis in and raised him with as much care as possible while teaching Travis his basic knowledge and intelligence so he can communicate with the other kids in the beginning of the guardianship. When Lifehacker made an area for kids to play and learn in with toy replicas of places, hobbies, and subjects, Travis looked at all the mechanical and engineering toys and began to experiment and create contraptions and robots after Lifehacker left the area for an hour as Travis and Elizabeth began to rule the area with toy robots. Travis and Elizabeth have read countless books of engineering, quantum mechanics, and interdimensional science as Travis helped create all the realm travel machines, gem tech, discovered how to sync magic and machines together, and learned how to reverse engineer, modify, and repair many types of various techs, machines, and engineering. Learning fast as he became the Head of Home for Home X9, helped install teleportation travel, set everyone’s gears up for mission and combat… 

He later met D.G. around 14 years old, D.G. being 13 when they entered the guardianship. The two had hung out ever since Travis was fascinated with D.G. and who they are, and D.G. liking his company and talks. Travis did experiments for D.G. to talk, which failed, as D.G. tests Travis’s explosives and proves how effective they are. Travis kept chatting with D.G. as he learned how amazing they were at explosives, quick thinking, their wits, their agility, and soon everything became something for Travis to admire from D.G. Travis started to gain feelings for D.G. and eventually asked D.G. out. The two just walked around the town; checking shops, joining in town side shows, dancing, and soon stopped at a park… Sitting on the bench together, Travis looks at D.G. and gathers the courage to confess his feelings for D.G… but D.G. didn’t smile or accept his feelings, instead they looked shocked and worried as they looked away while writing. Travis watched D.G. write on their board and saw the words right in front of his eyes…

“Travis, you are a wonderful guy, but I can't just accept your feelings. Not when I am destined to blow up in flames each time I fight and adventure. It's just in my culture and blood. I’m sorry but… I just can’t accept your feelings. It's for the best.”

Travis was devastated but understood that, D.G. was someone who uses dangerous explosives and is going up against powerful opponents… Travis knew that someday D.G. would die but knew that Lifehacker would just revive them… so why is D.G. denying him… D.G. explained on their board that they can’t just keep relying on the revival magic to bring them back, not when the enemy can mess with life as well and the life cycle. And one day D.G. might not revive one day. But Travis doesn’t accept this, he promises to D.G. that he can protect them and he’s gonna prove it. Until then, he will keep loving D.G. until the day they die and the day D.G. will accept him back. D.G. rolled their eyes but smirked at Travis’s determination and persistence. 

After that day, Travis was racing against the clock to make protection gear and strengthen his tech and gems, but it wasn’t good enough as he soon heard others like him are struggling, with rejection, failing, and struggling to keep their love in their life… Travis knew he wasn’t the only one who wanted to do all that they could for their love. Travis began to form a squad with others in similar boats and vowed that the squad will help each other with their goals to protect their love from any harm and to prove their devotion to them, to prove they can be there and never fail, to prove they can provide security and safety… Travis became the Leader of the Super Intense Malicious Protectors, finding others who bear the same passions like him, a squad who wants to protect what’s important, brothers in arms to get stronger and helping each other in times of need. Travis trains his best with his squad to make the toughest protection and tech so he can protect anyone, including D.G… So anyone can live just a bit longer, and experience something so simple and yet complex that is love.
