e-APP stands for Empowering Advanced Photovoltaic Pioneers and is a bilateral Italy-USA project that sees the involvement of the University of Genova and Drexel University. These two institutions are joining efforts to lay the foundations of a disruptive technology to microfabricate advanced photovoltaic solar panels, based on bifunctional magnetic fluids and micro-arrays of permanent magnets or ferromagnets.
