I am a mathematical modeler whose research explores the optimality of evolution and human decision-making under stochastic environments. My primary goal is to understand the dynamics of real-world complex systems by developing and analyzing theoretical models. I received my Ph.D. from Shizuoka University in 2016. Since then, I have held research and academic positions at the Institute of Tropical Medicine, Nagasaki University, as a Research Fellow (2016), Assistant Professor (2018–2023), and Associate Professor (since December 2023). I also worked as a JSPS Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Tokyo from 2017 to 2018. During this period, I have also held visitor scientist positions at the University of Basel (Switzerland), the University of Queensland (Australia), University College London (UK), Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Biology (Germany) and the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (UK).
