✦ APPLICATION
There is no ride-or-die. But what if I want to try getting in together with another OC?
You can still apply together with connecting backstory! However since there are no ride-or-dies there is no guarantee your OCs will be accepted together. You can still keep the connecting backstory but canonically the one who didn't get accepted would either be rejected from applying to GYVN, was let go due to GYVN's company purge, or left the company to pursue other things someplace else.
Are we allowed to reuse art for the app as long as the design fits the world?
Yes! Old arts (including commissioned and gift arts) are allowed. Please note that if the art is older than the group opening date (November 3rd), it cannot be claimed for Radiance in the group.
✦ CHARACTER
Will we limited to one OC?
Yes! We are a single OC single run RP group. We have no plans to run this for so long that it requires a secondary.
Can I apply as someone who is already an employee in GYVN?
Are our characters new employees applying for GYVN Corp? Or are they/can they be existing employees?
They can! You can apply as either a new employee or an existing employee. Applying as an existing employee can fare well for older characters since the max. age is 40. Be free~ Worldbuild with our company! We welcome creativity in character making!
Do our characters need to have a decent amount of talent/skill, or can they have little to no talent (like the company's bad apples)?
You can definitely be one of the Bad Apples! However keep in mind they would have to have some semblance or desire to improve themselves and not be a complete lost cause or else they'd have to be purged. The CEO tries to see potential in everyone but even he knows his limits.
✦ GROUP ACTIVITIES, SYSTEM
Is there an estimate of how long the group will run for?
We are aiming for a year!
How much activity is expected from members ideally, apart from the monthly updates?
As long as you do little doodles or HCs and interact, any kind of activity is okay! We don't ask for much but we at least want some sort of connection or interest. Despite this being a group revolving around competition, we still want to help those who can't be as active if life gets in the way! So we have items that could still help you have a fighting chance in the end game, The Golden Canter. We want this group to mostly focus on fun and not too demanding.
Must I have an OCSN account to apply?
No you don't! The main base will always be discord. It's just optional if you want to make a social media for your OC.
✦ DEPARTMENTS, JOBS
What kind of music genre(s) would be the idols' main focus? Are there any music genres you would discourage members to choose?
Nope! Feel free to choose any kind of music genre you or your OC likes! This is why there's also solo idols! Dance cover idols, rap focused idols. Idols is more of an umbrella term for artists that revolve around music. However it's only limited to musics that are often handled by entertainment companies. This also counts for acting and dancing like ballet and broadway theatre arts that are more often handled by theatres or cultural institutions.
How would the manager position work? Do they take care of npcs (since it's veterans) or will they be able to choose post acceptance who (out of member ocs) they want to manage for?
They will have certain tasks on events and urgent meetings. But essentially they do take care of NPCs and in some events they will manage characters of members within the group. They will be randomized to keep things fair and to allow others a chance to interact with new people. But there will be some cases where you can choose who you want to manage. The purpose for these tasks and urgent meetings for the manager is to gain as much experience as they can managing all sorts of different people.
What are Department Heads?
Department Heads serve as a mentor for the employees in their own department. They can offer guidance, advice, and most important of all, they will watch over your progress and report to the CEO if there are improvements with the employees in their department or not.
OOC: They are mod run NPCs you can RP/HC or draw with as part of your OC's preparation for the Golden Canter. Please remember to ask for their consent first to keep their NPCs (which are their OCs) IC before you'd like to draw them interacting with your character. A little headcanon goes a long way!
✦ SPECIES
Do you have any notable rules regarding species non-humans? Or we can make whatever we wanted as long as they included into one of available species?
Anything you want as long as they fall under one of the available species! Like with bats we can accept that as an Avian HOWEVER they can only have the bat wings. Creatures like insects and reptiles would not be able to fall under any of our species so that's a no to any breed of those species.
