Reservations are recommended because GYUHIRO is a small restaurant with only 10 seats.
Online reservations are available for lunch from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM and for dinner arrivals between 5:00 PM and 5:30 PM.
Walk-in guests are also welcome at other dinner times. However, we may be fully booked.
Yes. Solo travelers are welcome at GYUHIRO.
Our small, welcoming restaurant has only 10 seats, so you can feel comfortable dining alone.
Yes. Children are welcome at GYUHIRO.
For young children, sharing a meal is possible. During dinner, we can specially include ingredients normally available only during lunch in the accompanying guest's dish.
Please note that we do not have baby chairs. All seats are adjustable-height counter chairs.
Our Kyoto Style Sukiyaki Set includes 150g of Kuroge Wagyu, vegetables, tofu, ito-konnyaku, fu, raw egg, rice,
red miso soup, pickles and dessert.
Each guest is required to order one main dish.
One serving cannot be shared between two guests.
Our regular sukiyaki is served as a complete meal with rice, raw egg, pickles and red miso soup.
Individual beef-only orders are not available.
However, during lunch, we offer our limited-time Kyoto-style Sukiyaki Experience,
which includes 100g of Kuroge Wagyu and raw egg only.
No. Our staff cooks the sukiyaki for you, right in front of you, while explaining each step of the cooking process.
The Sukiyaki Set takes approximately one hour from the start of the meal to the end, not including any waiting time.
We use premium A5–A4 Kuroge Wagyu for our sukiyaki.
Most of our beef is A5 grade.
Yes. We offer a Sukiyaki Lunch from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM (last order).
We also offer a limited-time Kyoto-style Sukiyaki Experience
and a Kuroge Wagyu Seared Beef Sushi Lunch.
Yes. English, Chinese and Korean menus are available. We can assist you with simple English when ordering and explain the cooking process as we prepare your sukiyaki.
For Chinese-speaking guests, we can also explain the ingredients using simple Chinese words, such as the names of the ingredients.
Please let us know about any food allergies when making your reservation.
For gluten allergies, our regular warishita sauce and soy sauce cannot be used because they contain gluten.
We can prepare the dish without them, using alternative seasonings such as salt, olive oil or butter.
If you have a nut allergy, please let us know in advance so that we can discuss the available options.
Yes. We can prepare a vegetarian option without meat at the lunch price.
The vegetables and other ingredients are served in double portions.
Please note that dessert is not included in the vegetarian option.
GYUHIRO is located in the Nijo area of Kyoto, just a 6-minute walk from Nijo Station and near Nijo Castle.
The area is conveniently accessible by JR, subway, Hankyu, bus and Randen,
making it easy to visit from different parts of Kyoto.
