Goals
Through developing the G2.2, we hope not only to score high, but also to strengthen our bonds within our team. Being a very new company, Gyrodos Robotics is still in its growth phase, and needs ways to unite our team. Developing the Gyrodos G2.2 can greatly help us unite our engineers and blend in different ideas.
Our ROV
The Gyrodos G2.2 is our machine engineered for the 2026 MATE ROV competition. Revised and significantly improved from the previous design, the Gyrodos G2.2 is a highly precise piece of machinery capable of performing complex tasks remotely underwater. With a body crafted out of CNC-machined aluminium alloy and reinforced with carbon fibre tubes, the Gyrodos G2.2 will be a master of the waters. We hope that with this machine in hand, we can obtain a good performance in the MATE ROV competition 2026.
Design and Mockup finished, built in AUG 2025.
Wiring and Grippers to be finalised in late 2025.
Our Floater
The Magikarp M2.2 represents Gyrodos Robotics' leap into buoyancy engine and floater design. With no thrusters, the M2.2 must be robust and be able to accurately detect and control its depth to complete the tasks.
To be developed in late 2025 to early 2026.
