In this session, Jenni George & Liz Forderhase will take us on a journey through new and notable YA Lit. Like jumping into chalk drawings with Mary Poppins, we will jump into the world of each book as Jenni & Liz booktalk what are sure to be the hottest books for you and your students. Come, be inspired to read something new, and maybe even win a free book.Jenni George spent 8 years in the English classroom and the last 19 years as a school library media specialist. She completed the Gateway Writing Institute in 2010. Jenni loves learning something new everyday, reading all things YA, and helping students find that one perfect book that makes them fall in love with reading.
Liz is a book nerd who taught Middle School English for 17 years. She also supported K-8 English Language Arts Teachers as a curriculum coordinator for 3 years until she found her home in a high school library where she has served as a Library Media Specialist for the last 4 years and couldn't be happier. Liz completed the Gateway Writing Project in 2016. She is a yoga, dog, and camping enthusiast.
