Home Rule means a Breton Parliament, in Brittany with a Breton Governor and Breton institutions. It means that the Breton people will select their own local governing bodies and that the Breton people will be sovereign within Brittany; that their will will be the aims of our local government. It is so important and indeed vital to our movement, because it is the only way that the Breton people will ever have a chance to air their concerns for local issues that effect the Breton people, and the only way that we will have a consistent advocate for Breton rights and representation. For its structure we look to Scotland and the United States for inspiration, and so as their regional governments are modeled based off of the British form of government and American form of government respectively, so too shall our local government mirror that of France, of course being tailored to suit the interests of the Breton people. Only through Home Rule can we truly begin to do the crucial work of regaining the respect that the Breton people deserve.
Our party stands in solidarity with not only the Basque and Corsican people who like us seek Home Rule, but with the Sardinians, Catalans, Bavarians, Frisians and indeed all peoples who face the same conditions of enforced gradual cultural and linguistic displacement that the Breton people do. We further support autonomist movements such as the Mouvement Normand, Partit Occitan and the Movement Règion Savouè, who while being far closer to the mainline French culture wish to preserve regional identities. Indeed we believe that only through the spread of a federal model of government throughout Europe can the continent finally abandon its rigid top down approach towards culture to allow the many diverse peoples of Europe to choose their own path forward.
