May 10th 2024
On May 10th 2024 in MS 325 our 3rd Math Climate Day event took take place at the University of Calgary.
We had a day full of presentations, workshops and discussions about how we as mathematicians (and statisticians) can solve climate-change related problems, such as climate modeling and enablling the expansion of renewable energies. Everyone is welcome, regardless if undergraduate student, graduate student, postdoc, faculty or externals. Although the event is mainly focused on mathematics and statistics, participans from other areas (e.g. physics, geoscience, engineering) are also encouraged to come.
