Thank you for everyone who participated at the Math Climate Day this spring. Because of the success we areorganizing another one in fall. If you want to present there, feel free to contact the organizer by email: florian dot schwarz at ucalgary dot ca.
This event took place on May 18th in MS431 at the University of Calgary.
We had a day full of presentations, workshops and discussions how we as mathematicians can solve climate-change related topics, such as climate modeling and renewable energy. Everyone was welcome, regardless if undergraduate student, graduate student or faculty. Although the event was mainly focused on mathematics and statistics, participans from other areas (e.g. physics, engineering) were also encouraged to come.
