Our Second Campaign Asking Guilford County Schools to Commit to 100% Clean Energy by 2050 

In 2023, the Guilford County Board of Education updated the district's energy policy. At the same time and also in 2024, Superintendent Whitney Oakley, on behalf of the administration for Guilford County Schools (GCS). made changes to the administrative regulations, including committing to "make a good faith effort to transition to 100% clean energy by the year 2050 in alignment with Federal and State regulatory requirements."
