Guide and Potter Service
As an independent guide I will tailor the experience to your needs and time. I will organise the documentation and lead you through the trek. I will explain you things about places we pass and you can ask me as as many questions as you wish ;-)
If you decide not to carry your whole load and to get a porter who will help caring your belongings I will personally contact one of my trustworthy befriended Nepali porters. Please bear in mind your physical abilities and condition and think about engaging a porter in advance. On a longer camping trek additional staff like assistant guide leader, potters, chef and maybe even a shepherd with a group of donkeys are necessary.
Accommodation and Food during the Trek
During the trek I will take care of organising the accommodation and food. The variety of meals offered, type of the room, bathroom facilities depend on the trekking area and the season. Depending on our arrangement you could choose to pay an 'all including daily' rate during the whole trek so that, you don't have to deal with daily payments. Additionally you could choose to pay me a guide salary and a porter salary separately and you could pay for all your expenses for food and accommodation on the way by yourself.
During camping trek you do not need to worry about anything. The package price will include all services. We will employ a camping crew and provide the equipment like tents, sleeping mats and cater the food.
Insurance and Evacuation
It is highly recommended to obtain a reliable international health and accident insurance suitable for your trekking trip. Please note that not all insurances provide a helicopter rescue from high altitude. Generally the insurance differ between rescue up to 3.000 m and 6.000 m. Please check the information on travel forums from you country, Lonely Planet or TripAdvisor.
In case of emergency or sudden illness I will adjust our route or organise a rescue evacuation by suitable means (e.g: jeep or helicopter) if hospitalization is necessary. I will get in touch with your insurance company, a helicopter company and a hospital.
Packing list
This list is based on peak season equipment (Sept-Oct) for 3 weeks of trekking without potter. The ideal weight for the trek is 8-12 kg depending on each customer
