LECTURE EXAMPLE:
This is a narrated PowerPoint lecture with its duration limited to 20 minutes, given at the University of Nottingham, and aimed at the level of a UK third-year physics undergraduate student. In this lecture, I demonstrate how atomic magnetic moments arise from the orbital and spin moments of electrons, and how the behaviour of non-interacting atomic moments in a magnetic field leads to the Curie law for paramagnetism.
SLIDES FOR THE COURSE OF MATERIALS:
I have been giving the course of materials to first-year undergraduate students in engineering at the University of Southern Denmark. This course gives a brief introduction to the structural, mechanical, thermal, electronic, and magnetic properties of materials. Based on fundamental mechanisms, applications of different materials are demonstrated for motivating first-year students in engineering.
