Beyond Science

Science and art provide two different methods to understand and describe the world around us. Apart from scientific research, I am also interested in painting, especially traditional Chinese painting where water and ink are combined to describe the texture of objects and express feelings. Well before becoming a scientist, I had learned painting for years. Below are some of my paintings.
