Georgia Tech offers a variety of meal plans designed to meet the diverse needs of its student body. These plans provide flexibility and convenience for both on-campus residents and off-campus students.

Overview of Meal Plans

• Required for Freshmen: First-year students living on campus must select a meal plan, which includes options like the First-Year Everyday Unlimited and the First-Year Flex, ensuring they have access to meals throughout the week. IMPORTANT: TRANSFER STUDENTS ARE NOT REQUIRED TO PURCHASE A MEAL PLAN AT ALL OR PURCHASE THIS SPECIFIC MEAL PLAN!

• Meal Swipes and Dining Dollars: Most plans include meal swipes for use at all-you-can-eat dining halls and Dining Dollars that can be spent at various retail dining locations across campus. Unused Dining Dollars roll over until the end of the academic year, providing added value.

• Upperclassmen Options: While upperclassmen are not required to have a meal plan, they can choose from several options, including Meal Passes and Dining Dollar packages, allowing for greater customization based on individual eating habits.

• Flexibility: Plans are designed to accommodate different lifestyles, whether students prefer frequent dining hall visits or more flexibility with retail dining options.

• Convenient Access: Meal plans are linked to students' BuzzCards, allowing for easy access to meals without the need for cash or credit cards.

Mobile Ordering

Mobile Ordering at Georgia Tech provides a convenient way for students to order food from various campus dining locations directly from their smartphones. Using the Transact Mobile Ordering app, students can browse menus, customize their orders, and pay using credit cards or meal plans. The app notifies users when their order is ready for pickup, significantly reducing wait times and allowing them to grab meals on the go. Additionally, users can earn rewards points through their purchases, enhancing the overall dining experience on campus.

North Ave Dining Hall

North Ave Dining Hall is one of Georgia Tech's primary dining facilities, offering a diverse range of meal options to cater to various dietary preferences. The hall features multiple food stations, including made-to-order items, international cuisine, and healthy choices. With its spacious seating and vibrant atmosphere, North Ave Dining Hall serves as a popular gathering place for students to enjoy meals and socialize. It emphasizes fresh ingredients and sustainability in its food offerings.

West Village Dining Hall

West Village Dining is a modern dining venue at Georgia Tech known for its focus on fresh and locally sourced ingredients. This dining hall offers an array of culinary options, including vegetarian and vegan dishes, ensuring that all dietary needs are met. With a contemporary design and ample seating, West Village provides a welcoming environment for students to dine, study, or relax with friends. The facility also hosts themed dining events and showcases seasonal menus throughout the year.

Campus Retail and Food Trucks

Campus Retail at Georgia Tech encompasses various retail outlets that provide students with essential items ranging from snacks and beverages to school supplies and Georgia Tech merchandise. These retail locations are strategically placed across campus for easy access, ensuring that students can conveniently purchase what they need without having to leave campus. The offerings include convenience stores, coffee shops, and specialty shops that cater to the diverse needs of the student body. 

There are also food trucks that serve a variety of food. They are present mostly near and around Tech Green, but can be found in various locations around campus. They are present usually around lunchtime, but can also be found in the morning for breakfast. They also do accept BuzzFunds.
