The TFU follows the majority of the Altis Police Constabulary rules, regulations and procedures. However, due to the nature of the department there are certain procedures that are adapted to better suit it's activities.
Unless told otherwise, by a C/SUPT or above, TFU's should take leadership in case of a bank or huge combat situation if there is no OC.
TFUs are in charge of splitting up the bank ops / Tac Ops channels into more manageable groups and commanding the communications within the channel. They also have the power to remove an officer from the bank or situation that is causing any disruption to the command.
Once the OC has been killed and finished they have to pass on the OC to another TFU if none available it should pass to the highest-ranking officer and this must be done clearly so everyone knows who is in charge at any given time.
The regular police rank of an TFU member overrules its TFU-restrictions.
Example: SUPT+ may use a Spar-17 on patrol since it's assigned to their regular police gear-list.
Heavies may be retrieved by TFU under the following conditions:
TFU3+ must coordinate when patrolling together, If multiple TFU3s patrol as a group, only one heavy weapon may be carried
If any TFU is reported to be abusing their access additional gear or regulations they can be punished anywhere from a warning up to being removed from the department depending on the severity of the abuse.
(For the purpose of patrol; TFU Gear is any gear which exceeds the officer's normal police rank's ability to patrol with.)
See the Police Handbook for regulations.
TFU members count towards the regular heavy count.
Destroyers - TFU can take 3 Stealth suits
Athira Oil/Mint/Evidence/Paros - TFU can take 5 Stealth suits
For patrol regular police and rank-rules apply unless you are TFU3+
TFU 1 may patrol in unmarked vehicles.
TFU 3 may patrol in the Quilin (Light).
MRAPs/Armed vehicles can be retrieved by TFU only to counter enemy MRAPs/Armed Vehicles up to the number of enemy MRAPs/Armed vehicles.
Armed vehicles may be retrieved by TFU if they can justify their use such as to counter a Taru/Huron run.
Armed vehicles may also be retrieved by TFU if they are attending a large situation (8+ rebels).
Regular NPAS rules apply.
Members of TFU do not need to apply for NPAS in order to fly helicopters.
TFU can only operate an Orca as C/TFU+ On patrol
During Banks Orcas can be pulled as TFU2+
Orcas can be used in a large situation (8plus rebels) and be pulled by TFU2+
