Khalsa School & SAT Classes

Khalsa School is a program for the children at GSSA. Its mission is to instill love for the Sikh religion along with its beliefs, values and customs among young Sikh children. It accomplishes this through the teaching of the Punjabi language, Gurmukhi script, providing children with the ability to read and understand the Sikh scriptures. In addition to this, they also learn about the Sikh history and Kirtan, the Sikh devotional music. We also offer SAT classes for high school students.

Our school program is fully integrated with the other Gurudwara programs. For example, children are given the opportunity to present in front of the whole Sangat during key Gurpurab celebrations. Such presentations develop their public speaking skills, while teaching them about our rich Sikh traditions. Our curriculum is time tested and is shared by over 40 Gurudwaras and 1000 countrywide.

With the support of dedicated volunteer staff, this school aims to offer the highest quality of Gurmukhi and religious education. The volunteers come from different educational backgrounds and many are full time professionals who nevertheless find time to dedicate their time to the classes within the school. The volunteers apply their diverse skills, utilizing their innovation and creativity in fun and challenging roles, to create a stimulating environment for students.

Come join us and be a part of our Khalsa School Family. Let us know if you would like to volunteer your time in the school. Together we can instill Gursikh values in our kids, which will help and guide them all their life. Each one of us can make a difference. Together we can make a positive change in the future of our kids.
