Please join us this Saturday, October 19th, from 9 AM - 2 PM for the annual Fall Festival!

A variety of craft vendors, food trucks and baked goods will be available, as well as raffle baskets and kids activities. A food drive benefitting the State College Food Bank will also be held. 

A huge thank you to our Fundraising Committee for organizing this event!

On Saturday, December 7th, from 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM, Good Shepherd will host Brian Pusateri for an Advent retreat entitled: "Blessed, Broken & Scared: Becoming Eucharist for a Starving World".

Brian is a Catholic lay evangelist, author and founder of Broken Door Ministries.

Good Shepherd's second Alpha Course launches on Thursday, Sept. 12th! Sessions are held on Thursdays (Sept. 12th through Nov. 21st) from 6:00-8:00 PM in Agape Hall. 

A huge thank you to Cliff Wurster & Carol Pioli for organizing our first Alpha, and Larry Ragan, Jen Mahle & Bob Hendrickson for leading our Fall program!

We'd like to welcome Emerson Wilson to the Pastoral Council as our Youth Representative! 

Emerson is an 11th Grade student and Aide in Good Shepherd's Faith Formation program. She succeeds Kelly Brownstead, who served as Youth Rep from 2023-24.  

Emerson's first meeting with the Council will be on Sept. 4th @ 6:30 PM.

Good Shepherd's Pastoral Council, Finance Council & Staff will meet on Sunday, Sept. 8th from 12:00-5:00 PM in Agape Hall for a joint Retreat. This will give us an opportunity to pause, pray and reflect on how we can continue to build on what has been achieved in our Parish family.

Our Theme will be: "Lord, send out your Spirit and recreate the face of our parish."

The Council will be on Summer break in July & August. No meetings will be held during this time. If you have a question or concern, please bring it to a Council member and we'd be happy to assist!

Regular meetings will resume on Sept. 4th @ 6:30 PM in Classroom #2.

Please welcome Joe Wright to the Pastoral Council! Joe was our alternate at the last drawing and succeeds Joan Wagner, who recently stepped down. The PC would like to thank Joan for her service!

Joe's first meeting as a Council member will be on April 3rd @ 6:30 PM.

On Saturday, March 2nd, during/after the 5:00 PM Mass, the Institution ceremony was held to form a Catholic Daughters Court at our Parish. Headed by Regent Christina Combs, 32 parishioners became charter members of Court Good Shepherd #2800. Congratulations!

Meetings will be held on the second Tuesday of each month @ 6:00 PM.

On Sunday, February 24th at the 10:30 AM Mass, Karen Doberstein, Melissa Duckworth & Jennifer Mahle were selected to serve three (3)-year terms on the Council. Their terms begin in March. Thanks to our outgoing members, Ken Davis, Donna Poorman & Barb Purdum, for their service! 

The first meeting of the new Council will be on March 6th @ 6:30 PM.

On Sunday, February 18th following the 10:30 AM Mass, the Exemplification of Charity, Unity and Fraternity was conducted by the Ceremonial Team from Lock Haven Council #1774. Headed up by current Sir Knight Cliff Wurster, 18 new candidates were joined by 15 existing Knights to form the charter membership of the St. John XXIII Council #18392. Congratulations!

Membership meetings are on the third Thursday of each month @ 6:30 PM (Rosary @ 6:15 PM).
