THE COMPETITION
THE COMPETITION
Pilgrims lives are filled with new things, and the unexpected and they must be ready to face those things in a hurry. Authorized riders in this competition will compete in a short head to head single elimination course against another rider. If you lose to your opponent that round your dead and out(thus the name Head to Dead). BUT..in the Pilgrim spirit of trying something new IF you can convince another rider to loan you their equine to ride the next round you can renter the competition one time only. Must be a different equine than you used the previous round. Extra Pilgrim stamps if it’s also an equine you have never ridden before. Each round of opponents matching will be determined by drawing chits out of the marshals bag before the round begins. If you get a chit with a #1 on it you ride first that round against whoever also drew #1. If you draw a #2 you ride 2nd that round against the other rider who drew the other chit #2. Etc etc. Riders will be expected to be saddled and waiting at the gate in to go when their number is called to the field and hand in their chit or be eliminated that round. This being ready when called, and not losing your chit is part of the challenge. If you are a sharing an equine with another whose number happens to fall just before yours you should be ready to make a quick rider change in the time it takes the ground crew to reset the field. Or you should borrow an equine from someone with a different chit.

Equestrian authorized B3R members may ride in earnest to become the new Baronial equestrian champion and claim the champions prize. Equestrian authorized riders not in earnest can compete for the general equestrian prize.
