2. Reduced Digging
A key to regenerative growing & more abundance!
A key to regenerative growing & more abundance!
Digging the soil more than is absolutely necessary causes damage to both the overall soil structure and soil content itself.
Soil life is exposed to the air and weather conditions and this can cause loss of all-important soil workers.
Moisture is lost.
Wind can dry out exposed soil and blow it away.
Water can erode the soil very quickly while in an exposed state.
Soil structure is damaged through the action of digging especially when using heavier machinery or when wet.
Existing root channels from leftover old plant roots are broken up and this also limits soil structure.
Soil is often dug in the thought that it will soften it and improve the structure. This is usually the opposite to what really happens. Initially the soil may be softer in the dug area however the soil structure is becoming damaged as we dig the soil. It is not the best approach to growing.
Nature naturally wants to keep soils as open as possible. and already has a natural system in place to do this, the microscopic soil life. Unfortunately most farmed soils today have their soil life diminished through poor growing methods such as digging and synthetic chemical uses and lack of organic matter.
GROWERS GOLD fixes the soil structure through the work of the micro-life returned to your soil.
Do your best to avoid chemicals, GROWERS GOLD will replace the need for synthetic fertilisers and reduce growing issues as your soil health improves.
Reduce digging of soil as much as possible to improve soil quality...GROWERS GOLD naturally softens soil without digging.
Add organic matter to your soil surface to protect and nourish it. Organic matter is an important key to rebuilding your soil's performance. Increasing your soil organic matter 1% over one hectare adds well over 100,000 pesos in nutrient value and 60,000 litres of water storage capacity.
Consider growing cover crops between cash crop cycles or in gaps between rows or trees. You can then cut the cover crop and put it on the root area of what your cash crops. This serves to boost nourishment and build up soil quality. Soils with increased organic matter are the healthiest and best performing of all!
The average capacity of a knapsack back sprayer is 16 litres.
Ensure knapsack is very clean of any chemical residue.
Mostly fill it with up with non-chlorinated water.
Add 1 litre of GROWERS GOLD
This will cover 500 square metres of soil area.
[NOTE: For small areas, a hand sprinkler can be used.]
