Above is a digital model of our water treatment plant, designed and rendered using the Lego-based CAD software Stud.io. There are labels showing each main component of the plant. First, the storm water and grey water comes in to the plant via separate pipes. After the storm water is run through a filter to catch large debris (leaves, trash), it merges with the gray water and they go through a finer filter for smaller pieces of dirt. Next, the water spends time in the clarifiers, which removes growth of bacteria and microorganisms. Lastly, the water is run through a final sand filter, completing the treatment process.
