Communal showers are notorious for being small and unhygienic. Soap becomes very slippery in the shower, which can be a nuisance. Moreover, many people struggle with arthritis or have otherwise limited or painful mobility of their hands, which can make it difficult to use a regular soap bottle in a slippery shower.
The closest existing solution to our product is a shower shelf that hangs onto the showerhead. This design will hold soaps and shampoos, but does not dispense them. Additionally, because these shelves are hanging on the showerhead, the shelves tend to move back and forth like a pendulum. This puts unnecessary stress on the showerhead, and could cause one of the soap bottles to fall.
Our advanced shower caddy dispenser will be secured on the shower door or over the curtain rod. If the shower does use a curtain rod, this design has the additional benefit of keeping the shower curtain farther away from your person. Our design will also dispense soap using distance sensing technology, eliminating the need to pick up a slippery soap bottle in the first place.
College dormitories, hotels, gyms, prisons, and other organizations with communal bathrooms are stakeholders for this product. In addition, this product will be beneficial for people who struggle with using regular soap bottles in the shower such as people with severe arthritis in the hands or someone with limited mobility.
