Hot off the press: Is it possible to transiently modify and potentially control the semimetallic/semiconducting nature of potassium-doped black phosphorus by means of an ultrafast external excitation? A couple of answers to this motivating question can be found in our recently published paper in PRB : “Ultrafast dynamics of the surface photovoltage in potassium-doped black phosphorus” where we performed time- and angle- resolved photoemission spectroscopy measurements supported by drift-diffusion calculations : Phys. Rev. B. 104,035125.
