Global Digital Citizenship

Goal: This professional development is to expose adult students to what it means to be part of a global digital community.

Audience: NAU students who are enrolled in an online degree program.

Outcome: Students will be able to apply these concepts of digital equity, digital citizenship, and cultural awareness to their online experiences throughout their degree program.

Objectives: After completing this course students will be able to:

• Use web 2.0 tools to share their work
• Understand what digital equity is and apply those principles to their educational endeavors
• Familiarize themselves with NAU's policy for safe, healthy, legal, and ethical use of technology
• Educate others in topics such as netiquette, cyberbullying, acceptable use and fair use
• Communicate to others about diversity, cultural understanding, and global awareness.
