VOLUNTEER IDEAS:
1. Canning. We will can at Walmart on Market St. 24th-26th. Summer is calling the lady tomorrow to get specific times on when we can go there. We will most likely not meet next Thursday, and can at Walmart instead to fundraise. **ALSO ask if they have flyers we can handout at Walmart.**
2. We all put in our applications to volunteer. None of us have heard back, but Summer is in contact with Pet Central Helps and will ask about volunteer hours.
3. PCH is open Monday-Friday from 1:00pm-4:00pm. They are not open on weekends. Volunteering will be hard with their tight schedule, but we will go on our own time when we are available.
4. CULVERS cans!! We will put cans out at culvers ASAP.
Member Reports:
LizAnne (Recorder): Completed Agenda and Meeting Minutes & submitted to ReggieNet.
Summer (Liaison): Called all grocery stores and will finalize our times to can at Walmart on Market. We sent her all of our information and availability.
Kelsi and Hayley (Webmaster): Looked back at the website and made the pages and structure of our website.
Rachael and Ariel (Treasurer): They both updated the GoFundMe and spread sheet with the funds we have raised so far.
Theresa (Historian): She has taken screen shots of our fundraising and has a folder of our records.
Rachael and Theresa are making the cans tonight and will bring them to Culvers.
For next meeting:
-We will most likely be canning at Walmart. Updates will come through text message all week.
Adjournment: Our meeting ended at 5:56.
10/25 Agenda
We will all be meeting at Walmart for canning
Objective:
1. Remind everyone to complete Packback by tonight—one question due per person on Thursdays at 11:59pm. Additionally, selfie slide submissions from Tuesday’s lecture are due by 6:00pm via ReggieNet in the Assignments tab.
2. We will be fundraising at Walmart through storefront solicitation. Our group will be split in half between the two entrances/exits with sign, containers to collect donated funds, and flyers with brief information on the organization to pass out to customers entering and exiting the store.
3. Summer and Theresa will be there from 3:30-5:30.
4. LizAnne and Hayley will be there from 4:00-5:45.
5. Rachael, Kelsi and Ariel will be there from 5:00-6:15.
6. When everyone has arrived by 5pm, we will be communicating with each other during our fundraising to consider the following: Summer’s contact with PCH—she was supposed to initiate contact with the organization to gather information on their needs and areas of opportunity for our group to volunteer and find out how they would like to receive the funds raised online (i.e. either directly provided to the organization, or our group obtains the online funds and then provides them physically to the organization); Summer’s information on further fundraising—Summer should be looking into scheduling more days with Walmart, days at other stores (i.e. Jewel Osco), and calling local coffee shops to put in change jars to raise money; Rachael’s updates on getting change jars into the Culver’s on Hershey to raise more money; and discuss additional ideas for fundraising—volunteering directly with the organization may not be a viable option at this point, so other means (such as selling food on campus) should be looked into.”
7. Address any questions.
Materials:
-Rachael and Summer have the materials to bring to the fundraising. Theresa is our group’s historian, so one copy of the flyers and one of the posters used to identify our fundraising tables should be saved for her to keep.
-Every member should bring their open mind and creativeness to every meeting as we go forward!
- Theresa should have her phone or any other device to take pictures so that they can be uploaded to our website.
- Early submission date is November 10th.

As a group, we have decided that we will not reach the early submission date. It is not realistic with our goals and we do not want to over stress ourselves, keeping in mind other classes we have assignments for. Instead, we will be meeting with Megan privately to present our project instead of doing a video. That date will be finalized in the near future, after Thanksgiving break is the goal. LizAnne will make puppy chow for Rachael to sell at her chapter on Sunday for more funds to reach our goal!

LizAnne (Recorder): LizAnne completed the agenda and meeting minutes & submitted them to ReggieNet on time. LizAnne will make the puppy chow for Rachael to sell at chapter Sunday evening.
Summer (Liason): Summer got confirmation that we will not be able to volunteer personally at Pet Central Helps. Lisa Kitchens seems very busy and overwhelmed, so we are going to focus on funds to help them get started. Summer plans to call coffee shops this week to see if they will let us put jars out at their cash registers. She is also going to get back into contact with Walmart for more fundraising ideas.
Kelsi and Hayley (Webmaster): Kelsi outlined the website and updated the website with pictures that were sent to her from Theresa. Hayley started to update the "About Us" page on our website. Kelsi added the spreadsheet to the website as well as the GoFundMe, website and current location for Pet Central Helps.
Rachael and Ariel (Treasurer): Rachael met with Megan and asked questions about our final presentation. She got the answers to a lot of our questions and we are all more settled about this project. Rachael talked about selling puppy chow at her weekly sorority chapter. Rachael updated the spreadsheet. She also completed the midterm on her own time with some of our contribution. Rachael will also pick up the cans from Culvers on Sunday.
