Assel Nugmanova is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Nazarbayev University working under the supervision of Profs. Chang-Seon Shon, Jong Kim, and Dichuan Zhang since August 2020. She received her B.S. degree (2014) in Civil Engineering from the University of Liverpool and a Master's degree (2018) in Engineering Management from Nazarbayev University. Her research focuses on the feasibility of basic oxygen furnace slag.
