About me: "How an Italian psycholinguist won the fully funded Swiss Government Excellence Scholarship for a postdoc at the University of Neuchâtel"
Borda! is an expression of amazement typical of Florentine, whose semantic nuances are in fact difficult to render in standard Italian. In its own way, it reflects the “untranslatability” of local languages, which is a defining feature of theirs — something to be protected and valued.
More specifically, Borda! is an outreach project created within the Florentine Unit of SPOKE 2, established at the Department of Literature and Philosophy of the University of Florence. Its activities fall within the framework of PE 5 CHANGES, “Humanistic culture and cultural heritage as laboratories of innovation and creativity.”
