PAC Executive Roles

PAC Chair and Co-Chair

• Main liaison(s) with the school Principal and administration

• Official spokesperson(s) for the PAC

• Provides leadership and oversight on PAC operations

• Co-Chair shares the responsibilities with the Chair, but only one is a signing officer

• Are the chief delegator(s) ensuring the objectives of PAC are met

• Oversees and appoints special committees as needed to carry out PAC business

Vice-Chair

• Assumes the duties of the PAC Chair in their absence

• Provides support to other roles and accepts duties as required

• Is in training to become PAC Chair

Treasurer

• Keeps track of the PAC finances

• Responsible for keeping the books up to date, deposit all funds into the PAC Account and disperse cheques for all PAC business

• Provides a financial report at each PAC meeting

• Is a signing Officer

Secretary

• Prepares meeting agendas and takes Minutes at each PAC meeting.

• Posts a copy of the Minutes for all to review.

• Prepares PAC communications as needed

District Parent Advisory Council Representative (DPAC)

• The liaison between our PAC and the DPAC organization

• Helps PAC stay informed on what's happening on the District PAC level 

• Reviews and processes DPAC Newsletters and announcements

• Attends DPAC meetings on topics of interest. Relays news back to the PAC

Hot Lunch Coordinator

• Works on the online lunch system to enter the lunch ordering menu dates and items

• Assists PAC with managing the hot lunch logistics

• Communicates with the Principal and parents on lunch topics as needed

• Being detail-oriented and having some technical and/or systems experience would be helpful

Hot Lunch Helper

• Helps with one or more hot lunches, is not an ongoing position 

• Assists with duties assigned by the Hot Lunch Coordinator and/or PAC

Website and Technology Assistant

• Maintains this website content for meetings, events, and announcements

• Maintains the PAC calendar dates

• Provides support on software tools used by PAC, including:  Google Sites and services, MailChimp  mailing list import & management, Zoom meetings, and HotLunches.net system, as needed

The maximum term for each of these positions is Two Years.
