Watch the setup video above and follow along with the instructions.
Take your hydroponics system pieces out of the box.
Pull the plastic holed top (with the wooden frame) off of the container frame and set it to the side [the wooden frame and plastic holed top should never come apart, they are screwed and glued together]
2. Lay the drawer container and all other contents on a table surface.
3. Attach the clear hose on the air stone to the green air pump and set it aside.
4. Lift the drawer out of the container frame.
5. Fill the plastic drawer up to the max fill line.. (1 gallon of water)
6. Place the drawer back in the frame.
7. Place the connected air stone into the water-filled plastic drawer-- place it black side down in the middle of the drawer
8. Put 1/4 teaspoon of Epsom salt and 1/2 teaspoons of the blue fertilizer in the water.
9. Put the holed plastic and wooden frame back on the container and match up the sharpie line on both pieces.
10. Place the white plastic cups with the strings in each of the holes in the container (might need to use strength).
***If the roots of your plants are at least 2 inches longer than the grow cups, follow step 13, if not then skip it. ***
13. ***Cut the piece of string in each cup off leaving just the plastic cup.***
***if starting plants from seeds, go to plants tab and read germination process, if not continue with instructions.***
14. Put one plant into each grow cup using the cubes to help stand up the plant- Leave the leaves of the plant sticking out the top and [if long enough] the roots sticking through the holes in the bottom of the grow cups.
15. Put in the green foam cubes around the plant.
16. Take the short grow light connection cord and attach one side to both lights.
17. Attach the longer grow-light cord [with the timer], to one light, and the other USB end to the charging block.
18. Place the grow light bars on top of the wooden frame, fitting the end of the cords into the groves on top of the wood.
19. Plug the charging block into a wall and turn on the lights.
20. Use the timer button on the lights to select the 9-hour timer.
21. Plug the air pump into the charging block or alternate power source.
22. Hang the air pump on the carabiner (D-ring) so the air pump is not in the water or on the table/ground.
23. Now you are done with the setup!
24. Place stickers as you wish on the system!
25. Follow the weekly maintenance guide for water replacement.
