Hydroponics is the process of growing plants without soil. This means that a hydroponics system is going to need added minerals and nutrients that the soil would normally supply. One of the main advantages that come with a hydroponic system is that the nutrients in the water can be completely controlled, unlike a soil system that can be exposed to outside contamination.
