Green Leek Run
NEXT EVENT - 10AM, SUNDAY, 14 October 2018
ENTRIES NOW OPEN
LIMITED AVAILABILITY: 500 RUNNERS ONLY
The Green Leek Run is a multi-terrain 10.5k race through the Warwickshire Countryside. The race starts near to Burton Green Primary School and finishes near All Saints' primary school in Leek Wootton. Proceeds from the event support these two schools.
Much of the course will be run on the historic Kenilworth Greenway, the site of the old Kenilworth Railway. Runners will then go through Abbey Fields, taking in views of Kenilworth Castle, before they make their way to the finish at The Warwickshire Golf Club.
This site contains all the event information, plus a link (below) to online registration and contact information. Former world record holder David Moorcroft will be starting the run, and as he is so fast will also be at the finish to meet people after the event!
Comments from runners in previous years:
"Beautiful scenery and weather, I will definitely be recommending it to others for next year.”
“The route made it really interesting, definitely a game of two halves! I ran my fastest 5k for two years on the first half!”
“Really enjoyed today's run. Changing terrain set in lovely scenery, friendly marshalling and the sun came out too. What more could you want? Great way to spend a Sunday morning.”
With a special thanks to all our sponsors and support organisations, shown here below for 2018:
