Limited access to affordable and reliable energy continues to affect millions of people worldwide. Heavy dependence on fossil fuels not only accelerates climate change but also exposes communities to pollution and rising energy costs, making the transition to clean energy both a necessity and a responsibility.
TIPS TO HELP SOLVE THE PROBLEM
FOR STUDENTS:
Turn off lights, electric fans, and appliances when not in use.
Unplug chargers and devices once fully charged to avoid phantom energy consumption.
Maximize natural light and ventilation instead of relying on air-conditioning during the day.
Use energy-efficient bulbs such as LEDs instead of traditional incandescent lights.
Walk, bike, carpool, or use public transportation whenever possible to reduce fuel use.
Use social media platforms to raise awareness about renewable energy and climate action.
Limit unnecessary electricity consumption from prolonged gadget and AI use.
FOR COMMUNITIES AND AS A NATION:
Invest in renewable energy sources such as solar panels in schools, barangay halls, and public facilities.
Support local and national policies that promote clean energy transitions and reduce coal dependence.
Encourage energy audits in buildings to identify and minimize wasted electricity.
Promote incentives for households and businesses that adopt renewable energy technologies.
Develop and modernize energy infrastructure to make power systems more efficient and resilient.
Hold industries accountable for excessive carbon emissions and push for stricter environmental regulations.
