Grassroots Youth Development Organization (GYDO) is a youth-led nonprofit organization established in 2014. It is dedicated to empowering communities through sustainable development. GYDO focuses on child education, women’s empowerment, gender equality, climate action, and livelihood development. Our mission is to create lasting social impact by mobilizing young leaders, implementing grassroots initiatives, and fostering collaborations with national and international partners.Since 2022, GYDO has been a registered organization under the Bangladesh Department of Youth (Ministry of Youth, DYD), driving positive change in underprivileged communities. Our approach is deeply rooted in community engagement, innovation, and sustainable solutions that address real-life challenges.

Background &Establishment
The journey of GYDO began in 2014 when a group of young changemakers identified the pressing issues of poverty, lack of education, and social inequality in their communities. With limited resources but a strong commitment to making a difference, they initiated small-scale projects aimed at educating underprivileged children and supporting women's health and empowerment.Over time, the organization expanded its focus, addressing broader social concerns such as environmental sustainability, gender-based violence (GBV) prevention, and economic empowerment. Recognizing the importance of structured interventions, GYDO formalized its activities and secured registration with the Bangladesh Department of Youth in 2022, strengthening its operational capacity and credibility.
