About Coach Matteo:

Coach Matteo is a passionate youth soccer coach with over three years of coaching experience and more than five years of experience working with children. Coach Matteo also holds the following Multi-Sport coaching certifications:

• Understanding the rule of two

• Safe sport training

• NCCP emergency action plan

He also holds the following Canada Soccer Coaching certification:

• Making Headway in soccer

And he also holds a Standard First Aid and CPR-C License. 

He specializes in early player development, creating fun and supportive training environments where young athletes can build confidence, learn fundamental skills, and enjoy the game.

Coach Matteo focuses on positive coaching, skill-based learning, and helping every player feel included, no matter their starting level.

Grassroots Academy is built on the belief that the best soccer journeys begin with strong foundations, encouragement, and a love for the sport.
