Problem Statement

It is critical to prevent avoidable injuries on small operations to preserve the livelihood of farm families. On these farms there are few safety measures in place to protect farmers once they have entered a partially emptied grain bin. We are proposing a safety device that will prevent individuals from being engulfed by grain in the event of an auger being turned on or grain collapsing.

Work to Date

  • We have designed and assembled a complete product that works well, and is fully functional. It is completely mechanical and has been tested and ready for use.

  • Fully functional videos and testing results can be found on the Test Results page.
