THE PLAYER

Interactions with the environment and creatures

I want to design these creatures as if they were in a game, like Monster Hunter or No Man's Sky. As player you must therefore be able to interact with these creatures. The interactions with each creature are unique, and you can get different resources from different creatures.

This interaction will be shown in the design of the creature, through behavior, movement or actions.

NEW: The player is a human looking for other life on other planets. They are researchers and want to take various samples back to their own planet. They want new creatures for their own planet, for the food chain, but also transport, companions, etc.

This way I don't have to spend a lot of time on figuring out the alien species and what they would look like / what they would see etc.

The creatures on Antilar have different substances and chemicals that the player needs to collect.

They can choose to do research on the different species of creatures, and collect these different substances and chemicals. Besides this, they can choose to obtain those substances directly by fighting it, they can leave it alone by running away or they can choose to catch the creature, take it home or make it a companion.
