Respect Everyone
Speak kindly to your classmates and teachers.
Listen when others are speaking.
Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself.
Be Prepared
Come to class on time with all necessary materials.
Complete your homework and assignments on time.
Stay focused and on task during lessons.
Follow Directions
Listen and follow instructions the first time they are given.
Raise your hand to speak or to leave your seat.
Participate actively in all classroom activities.
Keep the Classroom Clean
Pick up after yourself and help maintain a tidy learning environment.
Take care of classroom supplies and equipment.
Respect others' property and the classroom space.
Work as a Team
Help and encourage your classmates.
Cooperate during group work and discussions.
Share ideas and listen to others.
Consequences
Verbal Warning
A gentle reminder to correct behavior.
Loss of Privileges
Temporary loss of a classroom privilege, such as free time or participation in a favorite activity..
Time-Out or Reflection Time
A short period where the student is asked to sit quietly and think about their behavior or complete a reflection sheet.
Parent Contact
If behavior does not improve, the teacher will contact the student's parents to discuss the issue and work together on a solution.
Office Referral
For repeated or severe infractions, the student may be sent to the office for further action.
Rewards
Praise and Recognition
Verbal praise for good behavior and effort.
Displaying the student’s work or achievements on a “Champion’s Wall.”
Classroom Points System
Earn points for good behavior, completing assignments, teamwork, etc. Points can be exchanged for small rewards or privileges, such as extra recess time or a homework pass.
Champion of the Month
A special recognition awarded to a student who consistently demonstrates positive behavior and effort. The "Champion" could receive a certificate, a special badge, or a small prize.
Group Rewards
When the entire class meets a goal (e.g., earning a certain number of points collectively), they receive a group reward, such as a class party, movie day, or an extra free time.
Positive Notes Home
Sending home a note or email to parents highlighting the student’s positive behavior or achievements.
