Ruby earned her Master of Education in Special Education at Penn State’s University Park campus through the esteemed Project BRITE (Bringing Research and Intervention to Trauma-Informed Education) program. This federally funded 2-year, on-campus initiative, directed by Dr. Paul J. Riccomini, equips educators with interdisciplinary training and supervised experiences in trauma-informed, evidence-based practices for students with disabilities. Upon successful completion, Ruby earned her M.Ed. and was recommended for Pennsylvania Special Education Level 1 certification, supported by full tuition funding and a strong record of graduate job placement.

B.S. Human Development & Family Studies
Ruby earned her B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies from Penn State, a multidisciplinary program focused on the biological, psychological, and social aspects of development across the life span. Through this program, she gained applied experience in evidence-based practices, cultural humility, and equity-driven approaches to supporting individuals and families, preparing her for professional roles in human services and further graduate study.
