Initial Steps

1.) Apply for student teaching! (1 year in advance), Spring 2022

2.) Apply for the International Student Teaching Program, Fall 2022

3.) International Student Teaching Interview, Fall 2022

4.) Accepted into the International Student Teaching Program/choose country, Fall 2022

5.) Apply and accept a Gilman Scholarship (paid for my entire trip), Fall 2022

6.) Country placements and host families confirmed, Spring 2023

7.) Finish both student teaching placements and complete all materials and classes needed to graduate BEFORE departure, Spring 2023
