I am 25 years old and I am from Mansfield, Ohio. I have one older brother and one younger brother. Being the only girl is what I believe got me interested in fashion at a young age. I went to a private Catholic high school and I had to wear a uniform everyday for more than 12 years. This is another reason why I love to experiment with clothing and why I wanted to have a career in the fashion industry. I graduated high school in 2018 and began my college career at The University of Cincinnati with an undecided major. I quickly found out that UC was not the place for me and transferred to The Ohio State University my sophomore year. I graduated with my B.S. in Human Ecology with a focus in Fashion in Retail Studies in May of 2023.
I started working retail during my first sophomore semester. It began with me working at H&M and I worked there for almost 4 years. That job really got me out of my shell and gave me the confidence to talk to more people and meet new friends in college and at work. Once I gained a lot of knowledge about retail while working at H&M, I realized I wanted to try something new to further my expertise in the field. I applied to Anthropologie and started working there in March of 2022. I have loved my experience there and feel like I am working exactly where I need to be. I have been a key holder as well as a supervisor at Anthropologie. My confidence grew whie working here and I feel like I have a strong skill set in the retail field.
After graduating I got the opportunity to intern at Cacique on their initimates apparel technical design team. I had such a great experience with the company and learned about the importance and techniques of technical design that are so important to the industry. Last year I studied abroad in Milan, Italy at Accademia del Lusso. In the program I intensively trained alongside industry professionals in fashion design, pattern making, tailoring, fashion graphic design and CAD pattern making. I completed the course in July 2024.
