New Logbook (PebblePad)

• Logbook (CEX, DOPS, CBD, Continuity exercise) – please ensure you have signed off the required CEX, DOPS & CPD forms and that continuity of care exercise reflection has been uploaded (does not need sign off) onto PebblePad

• End of GP Placement assessment form– please ensure you complete this together with each of your students on PebblePad (NB: this will trigger your payment for the placement):

You can view the ‘End of GP Placement form’ on the student’s device, or your computer. To view via your computer, please follow PROCESS A below

• How to review the student’s whole logbook (optional and can take some time) - if you would like to review the student’s whole PebblePad logbook, please follow PROCESS B below.

PROCESS A:

End of GP placement assessment form sign-off:

The students have been given the following instructions so that you can access and sign off their End of GP Placement assessment form:

• Go to https://blsmd.uk/bartslogbook on a computer

• Login to your own account.

• From your dashboard click “Resources” on the first panel

• Find the GP Placement sign-off form

• The GP can complete the form on the computer (including sign-off)

• Sign-off forms should always be ideally completed together between student and GP

PROCESS B:

HOW TO REQUEST TO VIEW THE STUDENTS’ PEBBLEPAD LOGBOOK (optional)

If you want to view your student’s PebblePad logbook to see what you have signed off (including CEX, DOP, CBD, Continuity exercises & the End of GP Placement form) you can request for the student to share their logbook with you electronically. They can do this by following these instructions (please share with the student if needed):

• • Go to https://blsmd.uk/bartslogbook on a computer

  • Login to their own account

  • Select the “Year 3 MBBS Logbook” tile

  • In the top right, select “I want to…”

  • Select “share”

  • Select “with people” and find the user, then select the user

  • If no user pops up then first select “Look for other PebblePad users”

  • Enter the details and select “search”

  • If no matches appear then select “Add a non PebblePad user”

  • Enter all the details and click “create”

  • Set the permissions to allow comments and set the time to the end of the placement.

  • Click “share asset”

  • Please note if the student needs to create you as a user with your NHS email – this make take up to 3-4 hours to be processed

You do not need to request to view the student’s logbook to complete the End of GP Placement sign-off but if you would like to view their previous logbook entries, please be aware that the method described above may take longer
