The Court Bailiff position within the Blaine County Sheriff's Office is a specialized certification role designed for deputies who seek to maintain security and order within the courtroom environment. As a court bailiff, the deputy is entrusted with various critical responsibilities, including enforcing courtroom rules, protecting the judicial officials, jury, and public, and ensuring the smooth operation of court proceedings. Successful candidates will possess a keen understanding of legal procedures, exceptional interpersonal skills, and the ability to respond effectively to high-pressure situations. This certification opens the door for deputies to contribute significantly to the justice system by facilitating a safe and respectful court atmosphere, managing the movement of defendants, and supporting the overall mission of the Blaine County Sheriff's Office in upholding the law.
The mission of the Bailiff Program is to create a stable relationship between the Blaine County Sheriff's Office and the Justice Department. The Bailiff program strives to provide excellent protection to the courthouse and all people within the building.

To be eligible for a court bailiff, please view the following criteria established;
- Hold the Rank of, or equivalent to, Deputy III
- No 10-90s in the past 30 days.
- No 10-93s in the past 60 days.
