The Gomes lab provides a unique training experience for undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral students to pursue their research and we are highly committed to ensuring that all lab members have the same opportunities regardless of race, national origin, sexual orientation, or gender. We offer a stimulating, collaborative and vibrant lab environment as well as all the research tools and facilities necessary to study intact proteins and their complexes within the cells. Our lab is highly committed to cultivating an inclusive and positive research environment. Therefore, we strongly support and welcome individuals from underrepresented groups. Researchers working at the Gomes lab can master a host of techniques including cell culture, liquid-chromatography, capillary-electrophoresis, ion-mobility, and mass-spectrometry. The students/postdocs can gain experience in developing their own research plans, preparing poster/oral presentations, and writing manuscripts/grant applications.Â
Graduate students who want to join our group should apply for the VCU graduate program in Chemistry.
For postdoctoral positions, candidates should contact Dr. Gomes. Postdoctoral candidates are strongly encouraged to apply for extramural fellowships.
We are happy to host graduate students from exchange programs and independent research fellows across the globe.
