The owner of the Driftwood Diner. You can find her there before, during, and after business hours. It's a second home to her-- so much so that her family holiday dinners are hosted there WHILE it's still open. We respect her grind just as much as she respects everyone of the town. She frequently has some sort of deal or bargain for the locals. Just because.
A Local. Definitely of retirement age, but she claims that would make life boring. She has never married or dated to anyone's knowledge. She jokes she's married to her diner!
Goldberry's Sheriff. Has only ever worked in Goldberry, but not raised anywhere nearby. Often found using the corner booth at Eloise's diner as his out-of-office office. Her coffee refills are free, and infinitely better than the coffee down at the station.
Certainly also of retirement age. Has taken to Eloise's quote that retirement would be quite boring. Not that his job isn't usually kind of boring already... But it's a reason to get up in the morning.
Very patriotic in the sense that he wants to make Goldberry a town people are proud to call home within the US of A.
The owner/operator of the oldest and most "popular" bar in town. The Sailor's Knot hasn't always been a public establishment. At one point, it was an invitation only speakeasy. It used to be very hip to throw 21st birthday parties there, but nowadays the speakeasy portion has become a private back room and rarely ever used for functions. There's more pool tables than patrons, but the ones who come will come regularly and stay until Ren kicks them out.
He's relatively quiet. Doesn't have a lot to say and only says what he needs to.
Seems to be close with Eloise. But maybe she's just close with everyone.
Class of 2014! Always hoped to be an influencer! And locally, she certainly is. She rallies the locals to support each other at their businesses or various events and hosts plenty of food and clothes drives. No one really has a bad thing to say to her aside from expressing sympathy for her migrating filler.
She posts regularly on her Instagram, and, of all things, Letterboxd. Her top three are Barbie Princess Charm School, The Substance, and Legally Blonde. Never say she's not a well rounded woman.
She works at her husband's bait shop, but never stays longer than she has to. She'd rather be having a glass of something fun and fruity while watching the water.
Sheriff Greene’s Deputy. He doesn’t believe in warnings. Most teens are familiar with him if they ever get into any amount of trouble. We’re all ready to congratulate his retirement whenever he is!
The local pharmacist. No husband to speak of, and “no men in Goldberry worth mentioning in the same breath as marriage.“ Now, women on the other hand— Anyways, She’s quite content being an additional grandma to her brother Clement’s grandchildren.
She runs an old school pharmacy in the center of town-- Ice cream, candies, and tourist trinkets are available year-round.
One of Grace Parker’s good friends from their school’s cheer team. Supposedly one of the last people to hear from her. It’s odd to see Sunday out in public without Grace Parker on her hip... Thankfully she and Macie still have each other. Her parents own part of the main farmlands just outside town, but she can normally be found hanging around the beach or the shops in town.
The granddaughter of Sheriff Greene and the grand-niece of Kitty Greene. The third of the trio that included Sunday Holloway and Gracie Parker. Recently, she made the choice to drop cheer and solely focus on volleyball! As team captain for the Otters, she brought the team really close to winning at the state level— only to come in second in the division. She most likely still has some solid scholarships lined up because of it, but do her friends resent her for dropping cheer?
A history teacher at Goldberry highschool, and a friendly mentor to many kids. Rumor has it, Grace spent several office hours with him. Though born in Goldberry, he left for a few years to pursue his teaching certification and came back a little different. His favorite subject to teach about is the art movements in the 80s.
Recently appeared in town to take over the Lighthouse Keeper's position. Any merm coming to the town within the last month should know her as the one helping through their transition. Other merms would know her and the fact that she never hung around the usual spots other mermaids did. Generally viewed as highly suspicious.
The head bartender of the Sailor's Knot seems very convinced she's connected to the previous lightkeeper's disappearance.
