Goldberry Lake

The town of Goldberry, loosely inspired by Olcott, New York, sits on the edge of a large lake in the northeastern United States. Once a bustling and busy vacation town at the turn of the 20th century, Goldberry has now begun to descend in popularity and into disrepair. On the bright side, less tourists. But on the other hand... less patrons.

Underneath the lake's surface lies a whole hidden civilization. God knows how long its been there. Rumor has it, as long as humans have lived near the lake, children were told the tales of human-like creatures swimming just beneath the water. Those tales are now fables to remind the children of the town to respect the lake and all the life in it-- but your great-great-grandma might have still believed in the legends.
