Many of the photos and drawings I've compiled on this site are purely for reference and not profit. The following are sources I've used for either reference, images, or purchasing parts.
By Ray Cowdery
An in-depth look at everything 4x4 1/4 ton, this book gives an exhaustive look at the WWII Jeep. Development history, influential people behind the design, as well as information on production features.

This follow-up to Volume I gives more information on the world of the Jeep, including more art, advertisements, and production numbers, as well as useful drawings and measurements. Cannot get one without the other, and both are a necessity in any Jeep owner's library.
TM-10-1186 Master Parts List for Willys Trucks and Trailers
This military publication will provide parts diagrams and assemblies for all areas of the Jeep. Has illustrations showing cut-aways, parts lists, and diagrams.
One of the books that were included with the delivery of the Jeeps.
The Standardised War-Time Jeep 2
By John Farley
A more difficult to obtain book but very thoroughly documents production changes by month for both MB and GPW Jeeps. A large resource of photos of Jeeps, with a focus on production changes. If you're hunting for evidence of specific parts this is your book.
The go-to website for anything jeep related. Hosted by Ron Fitzpatrick, G503 is home to an international database of vehicles, vehicle disscussion forums, parts database, and parts supplier.
Index of all the parts/groups on a jeep, cataloging changes and the finish of each part. Also hosts subsections on tools and accessories on jeeps.
A 9th Infantry Division-centered webpage, focusing in particular on the motor pool markings of its vehicles.
Very thorough inventory of parts for Jeeps. A bit tricky to order through, but I have not seen a more complete selection of parts for Jeeps.
Very high quality and wide selection of canvas goods for your Jeep, though a somewhat limited and relatively overpriced selection of parts. Come for the canvas, leave for the parts.
Personally, my least favorite parts supplier- they will have some oddball parts, but the quality and customer service make this a last resort for parts.
Fairly thorough site, similar to this site. Host to articles on restoration, maintenance, troubleshooting and information on '43 MBs, as well as its sister sites for GPW and MBs produced throughout the war.
Another Jeep restoration blog, and inspiration/sister to my jeep- Mike's jeep was produced just one week before mine, and is very detailed in his rebuild.
